Description
ActiveFence’s Disinformation Research team conducts geopolitical research and detects and analyzes malign influence campaigns conducted by threat actors who actively seek to spread mis- and disinformation and propaganda.
We are looking for a researcher who will work with our OSINT analysts to carry out these projects. You should be a Big-Picture-thinker, highly organized, motivated, great at cross-functional work and able to work in fast fast-paced, dynamic environment
The researcher’s main responsibilities include:
- Carrying out media research to understand geopolitical contexts, backgrounds and conflicts
- Packaging the work of OSINT analysts and preparing it for delivery
- Report writing
- Presenting findings from OSINT analysis internally
- Creating compelling customer-facing presentations
- Conducting narrative analysis
- Collecting OSINT data related to elections and geopolitical events
- Pressure testing analyst findings and working together to produce high level deliverables
Requirements
Must-haves:
- MA level education
- At least 2 years of full-time work experience
- Excellent research, storytelling and writing abilities
- Broad geopolitical understanding of current events globally
- Native-level English speaker
Good-to-haves:
- Additional languages (Russian, Chinese, Spanish, French, Arabic, Farsi)
- OSINT skills
- Experience creating infographics
- Oral presentation skills
