env zero is evolving from an Infrastructure as Code platform into the context and action layer for cloud infrastructure. Powered by CloudQuery's live map of every cloud resource, owner, and relationship, as well as what orchestration tools actually do to them, we turn cloud context into actions that people and AI agents can take on drift, policy, cost, and security.

We work in TypeScript, React, and Go on AWS. If you have worked in none of them, that is fine; we hire for depth in whatever you have used.

Your responsibilities

What you'll do
‍

• Own features end to end: design, build, ship, and run them in production.
• Work closely with product on what to build, with a say in scope and priorities.
• Own the operational side: DevOps, automation, and tooling sit with the engineers who build the product, not a separate team.
• Build AI capabilities into the product and own how they behave in production.
• Orchestrate coding agents across the SDLC and in daily work, and raise the velocity and quality of what the team ships.

What we're looking for
‍

• 5+ years building production software, owned end-to-end through on-call.
• Deep proficiency in at least one modern backend language and one component-based frontend framework.
• Product judgment. You form views on what should be built and argue for them with evidence.
• You use coding agents daily and verify their output. We will ask how you caught something an agent got wrong.
• Excellent written communication. Most decisions here happen in writing, async, across time zones.

Nice to have
‍

• TypeScript, React, or Go specifically.
• LLM/agent apps in production: evals, guardrails, RAG, observability.
• AWS serverless at scale, Kubernetes, or IaC (Terraform, OpenTofu, Pulumi, CloudFormation). Developer tools, platform products, or B2B SaaS.
• Maintaining an open source project: public APIs, releases, and contributions from people outside your team.
