We're seeking an experienced Forward Deployed Engineer with deep DevOps and Infrastructure as Code expertise to lead complex technical evaluations and drive strategic deals at env zero. In this role, you'll act as a trusted technical advisor to prospective customers, guiding them from early discovery through proof-of-concept and technical close.

As a FDE, you'll operate with significant autonomy, partner closely with Account Executives on high-impact opportunities, and influence both go-to-market execution and the product feedback loop.

Your responsibilities

• Own the technical strategy and execution for mid-market and enterprise sales cycles.
• Deliver high-impact demos tailored to complex customer architectures and real-world use cases.
• Lead deep technical discovery across IaC workflows, cloud environments, security, governance, and cost controls.
• Architect solutions that align env zero to customer goals, constraints, and maturity levels.
• Design, run, and fully own Proofs of Concept (POCs) with clear success criteria.
• Serve as a trusted technical advisor to senior engineering, platform, and DevOps stakeholders.
• Handle advanced technical objections and competitive evaluations.
• Partner closely with Account Executives on deal strategy and technical close.
• Capture and synthesize customer feedback to influence Product and Engineering roadmaps.
• Mentor and support junior Sales Engineers as the team grows.

‍ What we're looking for ‍

‍

• 5+ years in a FDE, Sales Engineer, Solutions Architect, or similar customer-facing technical role.
• Strong hands-on experience with Terraform, OpenTofu, Pulumi, CloudFormation, and/or Terragrunt.
• Deep understanding of Infrastructure as Code, DevOps, and platform engineering practices.
• Proven experience supporting enterprise or complex mid-market customers.
• Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, and/or GCP in production environments.
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear architectural and business value.
• Strong executive presence and written/verbal communication skills.
• Highly organized, proactive, and comfortable owning ambiguity.
• Willingness to travel (~25%), including occasional international travel.

‍ Nice to have ‍

‍

• AWS Solutions Architect Associate or Professional (or equivalent for GCP/Azure).
• Kubernetes and container-based infrastructure experience.
• Experience with GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or other CI/CD platforms.
• Familiarity with policy-as-code, security tooling, or FinOps practices.
• Programming or scripting experience (Python, TypeScript, Node.js).
