The Role

We’re looking for an exceptional, hands-on engineering leader to build and lead the platform that powers FormX.

You will define the technical vision, architect core systems, recruit and mentor a high-caliber engineering team, and remain deeply involved in implementation.

Working at the intersection of AI, computational geometry, engineering, and automation, you will help build systems that generate designs and transform them into permit-ready plans, engineering outputs, and execution workflows.

What You'll Do

- Define and execute the technical strategy for FormX’s AI platform.

- Architect systems that combine AI, geometry, engineering logic, constraints, and real-world data.

- Design multi-agent workflows that automate design, planning, engineering, and construction processes.

- Build AI systems that reason through design requirements, engineering constraints, code compliance, and optimization decisions.

- Lead development of computational geometry and design automation systems.

- Recruit, mentor, and lead a high-performance engineering team.

- Establish engineering standards, architecture principles, and development processes.

- Partner closely with product, architecture, and engineering teams to rapidly move from ideas to production.

What We're Looking For

- Strong experience building complex production software systems and platform architectures.

- Deep expertise in software architecture, distributed systems, APIs, and system design.

- Exceptional Python engineering skills.

- Experience building AI-native products using LLMs, AI agents, generative models, or agentic workflows.

- Proven ability to build systems from concept to production.

- Strong technical leadership with a willingness to stay close to the code.

- Excellent problem-solving ability and a first-principles mindset.

Strong Plus

- Computational geometry, CAD, BIM, design automation, robotics, simulation, or engineering software.

- Construction technology, architecture, engineering, or manufacturing systems.

- Multi-agent architectures and orchestration systems.

- Experience in high-performance engineering environments or fast-growing startups.
