Role Overview:
The Head of the Engineering Department will lead our engineering team,
driving the design, development, and optimization of our isothermal technologies (Heat
engine, Heat pump.
This role requires a strategic thinker with hands-on engineering
expertise, particularly in rotating equipment and industrial process design, and the ability to
guide a multidisciplinary team through the entire product lifecycle, from concept to
commercialization.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Management:
o Lead and manage the engineering department, including mechanical,
electrical, and process engineers.
o Develop and implement engineering strategies aligned with company goals.
o Foster a collaborative and innovative culture within the engineering team.
o Mentor and support the professional development of engineering team
members.
Project Management:
o Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of engineering projects,
ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and budget.
o Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, manufacturing, and
quality assurance, to ensure seamless project execution.
o Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation
strategies.
Technical Leadership:
o Provide technical guidance on heat and power technology systems design,
with a focus on rotating equipment such as turbines, compressors, and pumps.
o Lead the design and optimization of industrial processes related to the systems
to ensure maximum efficiency and reliability.
o Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and cost--
effectiveness of our technology.
o Stay updated with the latest industry trends, emerging technologies, and
regulatory standards to ensure our products remain competitive.
Resource Management:
o Manage departmental budgets, including resource allocation, cost control, and
financial forecasting.
o Identify and acquire necessary tools, software, and equipment for the
engineering team.
o Coordinate with HR to recruit, hire, and retain top engineering talent.
Quality & Compliance:
o Ensure all engineering activities comply with industry standards, safety
regulations, and company quality policies.
o Oversee the development and maintenance of engineering documentation,
including design specifications, test plans, and technical reports.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Process Engineering (Master’s
preferred).
8+ years of experience in engineering, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
Proven experience in the design and development of heat and power systems or
related energy technologies.
Extensive experience and knowledge in rotating equipment design, including turbines,
compressors, and pumps.
Strong understanding of industrial process design, thermodynamics, heat transfer, and
fluid dynamics.
Excellent project management skills, with a track record of delivering complex
engineering projects.
Exceptional leadership and communication skills.
Knowledge and experience with ERP and PDM software systems.
Experience with CAD software, simulation tools, and engineering analysis.
Preferred Skills:
Experience in start-up environments or small teams.
Familiarity with ASME, PED, and other relevant industry standards.
Knowledge of mass production manufacturing processes
