Cellular Data Analyst

Description

We are looking for a dedicated Technical Data Analyst to collect, build, and enhance our cellular device database. This database is the core of our "fingerprinting” process, the method we use to identify and classify all cellular devices on a network. The role requires strong ownership, innovative thinking, and a proactive approach, along with high technical skills. The Technical Data Analyst will work cross-functionally to streamline operations and drive impactful changes in our data processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Process Ownership & Collaboration:

• Own the end-to-end fingerprint process, from data acquisition and research to validation and deployment, ensuring comprehensive oversight and quality control
• Drive improvements in the research capabilities of our product to support both customer and internal needs
• Lead the validation and monitoring process during pre-deployment to ensure the successful implementation of our fingerprint capabilities
• Collaborate with research and technical teams to explore new data sources and collaboration opportunities
• Support white labeling projects by ensuring accurate data configuration and validation for customer-specific requirements
• Oversee the environment acceptance process before delivery to ensure seamless integration and functionality of our data

Database Management & Enrichment:

• Ensure the correct database version is utilized and maintained across all environments
• Address and rectify gaps in our device database through proactive enrichment and management
• Conduct thorough research using Google, FCC-ID, 3GPP and other technical databases to identify and integrate the latest device information
• Analyze cellular and network logs to extract key device attributes and improve our identification logic

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in a data-focused role such as Data Analyst, Data Steward, or BI Analyst
• Strong proficiency in SQL
• Experience with a scripting language like Python for data automation and analysis
• Familiarity with cloud databases and data warehouses, such as Google BigQuery and others
• Strong research skills, with the capability to explore and incorporate new data from multiple technical sources
• Excellent project management and organizational skills with a focus on process improvement
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing data gaps
• Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment
• Experience with BI tools for reporting and analysis is a plus
• Knowledge of the telecommunications industry is a strong plus
• Familiarity with networking analysis tools (Wireshark) and concepts (cellular logs, 3GPP standards) is highly desirable
