We are seeking a talented and motivated Mechanical Engineer with a specialization in optomechanical systems to join our dynamic team and help us shape the future of quantum computing.
Responsibilities :
- Responsibility for an end-to-end mechanical and opto-mechanical design, development, and manufacturing of an electro-optical modules.
- Full ownership of the mechanical solution including design, drawings, manufacturing, assembly support, tests, and experiments.
- Design jigs and develop tools to support different R&D teams efforts.
- Work in collaboration with different R&D disciplines (physics, electronics, photonics and System Architecture and Optical designer)
- Work with world-leading vendors to develop highly challenging mechanical assemblies.
- Assist the physics team with the integration of optical table setups.
- Documentation and technical writing.
Requirements:
- B.Sc in Mechanical Engineering with at least 3 years of experience in optomechanical design, or 5 year in other mechanical design fields.
- Proficiency in using CAD software - SolidWorks.
- In-depth knowledge of mechanical design and drawing principles.
- Experienced with multidisciplinary systems design.
- Understanding of high precision opto-mechanical engineering principles and Familiarity with tolerance analysis.
- Hands-on experience with building and assembling mechanical components.
- Experience working with suppliers and outsourcing.
- Knowledge of manufacturing technologies
- Self-driven, versatile, and challenge-solving oriented.
- Great interpersonal skills, a team player.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to details.
