We are seeking a multi-skilled PMO expert to support the Senior Program Manager in a dynamic and fast-growing business. The ideal candidate will possess advanced scheduling capabilities, proven experience in PMO development, and a deep understanding of project management processes. This role requires a proactive individual capable of managing multiple tasks, optimising program execution, and implementing PMO best practices in a fast-paced environment.

What you will be doing

• PMO Development & Implementation:

o Develop and maintain a comprehensive Project Management Office (PMO) framework.

o Establish, monitor, and continuously improve PMO processes, tools, and methodologies.

o Collaborate with teams to ensure consistency in project execution and alignment with strategic goals.

• Project Management Support:

o Assist in planning, execution, monitoring, and reporting of multiple projects/programs.

o Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of milestones.

o Provide support in risk identification, management, and mitigation strategies.

o Ensure compliance with project governance frameworks.

• Advanced Scheduling & Tracking:

o Act as the SME to lead the development of and maintain complex project schedules, ensuring alignment with project objectives by developing sound schedule logic.

o Track project progress, identify dependencies, and anticipate potential delays.

o Use project management software (such as MS Project) to manage timelines, resources, and costs.

o Communicate schedule updates to stakeholders regularly and escalate critical path issues.

• Reporting & Documentation:

o Prepare and present regular reports on project status, risks, and performance metrics.

o Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including scope, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.

Critical Requirements

• PMO Expertise:

o Proven experience in developing and leading a PMO in a startup or fast-paced environment.

o Strong understanding of PMO frameworks and methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid).

• Advanced Scheduling Skills:

o Expertise in developing and maintaining complex project schedules using project management tools (such as MS Project).

o Ability to handle multiple projects with interdependencies and deliver within tight timelines.

• Project Management Support:

o Minimum 5+ years of project management experience with a focus on supporting complex programs.

o Strong experience in managing project risks, budgets, and resource allocations.

• Tools Proficiency:

o Advanced user of project management and scheduling tools (e.g., MS Project, JIRA, Confluence).

o Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).

• Communication & Reporting:

o Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

o Ability to present complex project details to senior leadership in a clear, concise manner.

• Problem Solving:

o Strong analytical skills with the ability to anticipate project challenges and propose effective solutions.

Desirable Requirements

• PMP/Prince2 Certification:

o Certification in project management (e.g., PMP, Prince2) would be an advantage.

• Change Management Experience:

o Experience in leading organisational change initiatives and improving PMO maturity.

• Data-Driven Decision Making:

o Proficient in data analysis and using KPIs to drive continuous improvement and project success.
