Background

We are building our Mechanical team and invite you to explore Space with us! We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to drive our mechanical tasks .

What you will be doing

  • Drive all the mechanical design aspects of Spaceborne Computers and Payloads.
  • Drive multiple early design concepts while working in fast-paced product development cycles.
  • Independently lead product design from concept, through detailed design, and support it during Qualification, NPI and Manufacturing stages.
  • Join and lead task forces to investigate and support production excursions, failure analysis and reliability issues.
  • Collaborate in research of ground-breaking technologies, materials, and processes with other groups to bring in creative ideas that solve ever growing needs.
  • Extensive labs bring-up and proof of design efficiently implemented in accordance with system requirements.
  • Collaborate with multiple R&D and Production groups: HW, System, NPI and system validation.

Requirements

  • B.Sc. or higher in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of experience in electro-mechanical product design, including PCB/PCBA design.
  • Hands-on experience with 3D CAD - SolidWorks an advantage.
  • Experience in developing fixtures/jigs for product assembly/testing.
  • High awareness for quality and manufacturability, and understanding of statistical tolerance analysis techniques, and geometric tolerancing.
  • Experience in defining and executing DOE (design of experiment).
  • Highly motivated, team player driven to achieve high quality results.
  • Experience with spacecraft subsystem thermal testing.
  • Experience with spacecraft subsystem static or dynamic testing.
  • Experience with mechanical and thermal simulation tools.
